Where We Work
Our shop sits at 980 9th St, a few blocks off the Downtown grid and about a mile from Midtown and East Sacramento. From there we run jobs out to Lemon Hill and West Sacramento, both around four miles, and to Parkway and Arden-Arcade at five. We cover Rosemont, Florin, Carmichael, North Highlands, Foothill Farms, and Rio Linda in the eight-to-ten-mile ring, and we'll go as far as Fair Oaks, Gold River, Antelope, Davis, and Woodland when the schedule allows - Woodland is our longest regular run at seventeen miles.
Most of the doors we open in this area sit on houses built between 1962 and 2004, with the bulk of the stock going up through the 1980s and 90s across the named neighborhoods we work in, from Southern Pacific/Richards near the rail yard to Greenhaven on the river side. That build era matters for a quote because it tells us what track width, spring size, and opener mount we're probably dealing with before we even open the ticket. If your address falls outside the areas listed here, ask - we may still be able to fit you in, but we won't quote a job sight unseen for a location we haven't confirmed.
What We Will Not Do
We won't give you a firm number over the phone for anything involving spring replacement, bent track, or a door that's come off its rollers. Springs are sized to the door's weight and cycle count, not guessed at, and a phone estimate on a spring job is a guess dressed up as a quote. We'll give you a realistic range and confirm it in person.
We don't do gate operators, commercial roll-up doors, or fence and fabrication work - garage doors, springs, openers, tracks, panels, and the hardware attached to them is the job. If your door frame has rotted out around the jamb, that's a carpentry repair we'll flag but not perform ourselves.
We also won't quote a full-door replacement without seeing the opening. Sacramento's summer heat runs in the severe band, and that heat is hard on nylon rollers, plastic idler bearings, and any lubricant left to bake for a season - but how much damage it's done to your specific door depends on the door, not the ZIP code. A photo helps us prep, but it doesn't replace a look at the actual track and header clearance.
